Job Functions:

• Delivers Project/Initiative documents including but not limited to: Options and Impacts analysis; Project Solution Architecture Documents; etc.
• Ensures solutions align to enterprise architecture principles, standards and target architecture.
• Serves as final reviewer and approver of high-level designs and approaches, as well as, key technical decisions.
• Prepares and presents project documentation for the appropriate Architecture Review Board.
• Escalates and drives resolution of issues to the appropriate resource group (e.g. Infrastructure, Security, Application, and Data).
• Assists and directs technical activities for less experienced domain professionals (practitioners). May be asked to assist with management decisions and activities.
• Contributes to the advancement of enterprise and solution architecture practice maturity.
• Contributes to developing and enforcing architecture standards and policies.
• Engages in strategic thinking and takes actions based on anticipating both obstacles and opportunities while maintaining a long-term, big picture view of the company’s business and technology needs.
• May perform very limited coding or engineering activities. Typically R&D activities or to assist in solving for new or complex patterns.
• Maintains awareness of business, technical, and infrastructure issues and seeks opportunities to resolve them.
• Establish design, architecture and coding standards for app & desktop virtualization, mobility and distributed cloud computing solutions. Establish design and development methodologies (e.g. Agile, SCRUM) to drive feature velocity, quality and predictability.
• Work with Product Management and Engineering to translate product use cases and requirements to industry-leading design, architecture and implementations.
• Regularly communicate with management about risk analysis and design trade-offs.
• Strong communication skills, with an ability to express and design ideas to a development team
• Create, review and approve design documents and conduct code review of all modules.
• Keep up to date with the latest solutions and actively find ways (new technologies, tools, and frameworks, third-party integration) to improve our products.
• Skills:
• Programming experience within their primary domain.
• Experience designing solutions for large scale deployments including large enterprises or service providers
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams and select third parties
• Expert at designing distributed systems that involve mobile devices, web/application servers and virtualization solutions.
• Expertise in Django-Python, Flask, React/React-Native/Angular.js/Node.js (Android and iOS), PostgreSQL, NoSQL, API Integration (Rest and JSON)
• Experience with Agile, SCRUM (or variants) development methodologies
