Job Description:

Secours Islamique France (SIF) is a Non-Governmental Organization of international solidarity based in France.

  • Founded in 1991, SIF is a non-profit and non-political organization that intents to help, to bring relief and to protect the lives of those threatened by natural disasters, armed conflicts or by economic collapse.
  • Livelihood Assistant (CWA) will be based in Islamabad and will work under the direct supervision of the Child Welfare Projects Manager.
  • The incumbent would be responsible for providing assistance in field activities and office work;
  • Assessment of livelihood beneficiaries from the already enrolled families in orphan sponsorship project, home visits, assistance in distribution of different items under project activities, planning and execution of field activities in consultation with child welfare projects manager, provide technical support to the livelihood beneficiaries through effective performance management in designated working areas.
  • He/she will also ensure regular reporting on the progress of program implementation and maintenance of confidential information related to sponsored children’s/families.
  • CWA will support in awareness raising and capacity building activities.

ACTIVITY IMPLEMENTATION & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT;

  • Assist in needs assessments.
  • Provide information from field for writing proposals, concept notes for donors.
  • Identify  issues and define alternatives initiatives
  • Provide guidance and direction for effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of agreed plans of such budgets.
  • Coordinate regularly with respective SIF staff for ensuring the timely implementation.
  • Work closely with all SIF departments including finance and logistic to ensure the completion of business process as per SIF rules and policies.
  • Coordination with child welfare assistants to monitor the progress of the beneficiaries and to receive feedback from other filed team members. 

MONITORING                            

  • Maintain forms and records to document for livelihood program activities and measure their impact.
  • Archive all the data including activity reports, assessments, completion reports, pictures, IEC material etc.
  • Make frequent field visits to project areas to monitor implementation of activities, Remote monitoring in case of any issue to access the area due to COVID-19.
  • Identify opportunities and constraints to adjust collectively the activity implementation if needed.

TEAM COORDINATION

  • Ensure the needed capacity building of his/her team, with resources available internally.
  • Ensure a good communication – coordination – information level of each member of his/her team through weekly and monthly coordination meetings and report to the project manager.

REPORTING

S/he will report directly to Child welfare projects manager

  • Provide regular reporting on his/her activities and weekly updates – numbers of beneficiaries and households visited segregated by age, gender, needs and vulnerability
  • Centralize all information gathered in the field and consolidate quantitative and qualitative internal project activity reports.
  • Ensure beneficiaries data protection.

LOGISTIC.

  • Develop travel plan and vehicle request and get it approved from the project manager and logic manager.
  • Work closely with the logistics team through follow up on project related procurements, processing and submission of approved purchase requests and support to country logistics manager for developing derogations for project related procurements and any other related task.
  • The task list is neither exhaustive nor restrictive and is evolving according to the needs of the organization.
  • Being an association with limited resources, versatility and flexibility are necessary in order to overcome any difficulty temporary and exceptional.
  • The employee may be requested to perform other tasks in accordance with in job category, in case of need related to the functioning of the Association or to changes in its policy and it organization, and respecting the pattern of fixed-term contract.
  • The staff will prioritize the responsibilities that will not contradict with his/her primary responsibilities of the position.
