| Job Description: |
- To ensure timely and smooth processing of all accounting activities in SAP system on a continuing basis.
- To ensure timely submission of accounts to Government authorities, Stock Exchanges and SECP under Companies Ordinance and Stock Exchange Regulations.
- To liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure smooth execution
- To suggest necessary amendments in the credit policy in order to minimize credit risk, while supporting the business KPIs
- To ensure that credit to customer is allowed in line with credit policy/management approvals;
- To ensure regular follow up is done against old receivables
- To ensure necessary information is provided, both to local and foreign management in respect of outstanding balances, DSO and bad debts provisions in a timely manner
- To ensure appropriate records are kept in respect of imports so as to ensure that import consignments are released in a timely and legally compliant manner
- To ensure foreign exchange risk is minimized through adequate forward cover and forex gains/losses are appropriately accounted for in accordance with company’s financial policies.
- To ensure that Income tax and sales tax returns are filed with FBR in a timely manner with sufficient accuracy.
- To implement tax policy measures to ensure company’s tax incidence is minimized in a legally compliant way
- To work closely with tax advisors in respect of tax computations, filing of returns, filing of appeals so that maximum benefit is obtained by the company in a compliant way.
- To ensure reporting of tax schedules to head office via Magnitude as well as local reporting for statutory accounts is done in a timely manner
- To ensure satisfactory preparations are made for the board meetings, annual general meetings and extra-ordinary general meetings
- To ensure adequate record is kept in respect of fixed assets, their acquisitions, disposals and depreciation charge
- To ensure that necessary steps are taken to match the physical assets with the books of accounts at a regular intervals in line with the Fixed Assets SOP
- To ensure appropriate insurance cover is available at all times and that renewal of insurance policies and processing of insurance claims are done in a timely manner
