Reports to: Supply Chain & Services Officer
This position is required for carrying out cooking services at the field level at district Buner. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the cooking and serving of meals and tea/refreshments to the project staff and official guests.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare cooking and other food/refreshment preparation daily.
- Ensure proper standard of cleanliness in the kitchen and dishwashing area.
- Recommend recipes and make changes in the menu when necessary and according to instructions.
- Ensure that all dishes/meals are cooked well and presented professionally.
- Monitor quality and quantity of kitchen-based equipment and supplies and order new equipment and supplies as per need.
- Prepare kitchen before meal times
- Timely prepare and serve items as per the menu chart or as ordered.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment in the kitchen at all times.
- Work safely and efficiently.
- Provide assistance and services to all departments as needed.
- Perform any other duty assigned by the supervisor.
Person Specification:
The post holder must show a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision, and mission as well as commitment to its SEAH (sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. We have zero-tolerance policy towards SEAH and don’t support any action that promotes or encourages SEAH.
Qualification:
- Minimum Middle/Matriculate
- Knowledge of cooking and serving
- Basic knowledge of personal and kitchen hygiene
Experience:
Minimum 05 years with Metric and 7 Years with Middle
Language:
Urdu and local languages (Pashto)
Value Added Skills:
- Relevant experience of working with humanitarian/development sector/INGOs
- Ability to maintain records.
